The Client

With over ten years experience in the golf travel industry Pine Cliffs Resort is one of the leading and award-winning Luxury Resorts in Europe. The resort is managed by Starwood Hotels and offers different options of accommodation including the Sheraton Algarve – a Luxury Collection Hotel, it also has several investment opportunities.

The Challenge

The main reason for the project came from a business strategy which consisted of exploring the potential of using digital to develop a strong and promising sales channel.

The challenge was to develop a new website characterized by simplicity and user-centered experience and to create a mobile application focused on booking reservations and concierge to meet the trend represented by the huge increase of smartphone and tablet users in the target segment. The important point was also to propose a reservation management improvement solution.

A responsive web platform that generates over 75% in sales

The Solution

  • Website Redesign: user-friendly design, analytics integration, conversion optimization and facilities that allows for the creation of different landing pages to present resort amenities, offers and surroundings. Website developed with HTML5, Javascript, CSS and Python, includes Responsive Web Design;
  • Hotel Mobile Application focused on booking reservations and concierge. The app allows customers not only to book accommodation, tennis or golf lessons but also to find events, restaurants and bars around the resort along with other useful information;
  • Green Check-in Application – a time-saving mobile application integrated with the client’s Management Systems and tailored to the client’s needs, which performs complex operations and enables easier check-in using mobile devices instead of paper forms.

  • During one year the website received 183 760 visits and over 1 328 000 pageviews which gives a result of of 7,23 pageviews per session
